ROOFING Q&A
Yes, we take all proper precautions to protect your home in the event there is rain or inclement weather during roof installation.
Cavalry Roofing isn’t a burn and turn roofing company, we take great pride in our installation and always want to ensure our craftsmanship is above industry standards so our typical roof installation is about 1 1/2 days given the size and pitch of the roof we’re replacing.
Signs that suggest that you may need a new roof include loss of granules, discoloration, missing shingles, cracked shingles, curling shingles, rusted or missing flashing, or the caulk starts coming off pipe boots and/or ridge caps. If you notice any of these signs or if your roof is over 10 years old, call a roofing specialist to perform a professional inspection.
Unfortunately, pricing varies greatly based on the size of your roof, pitch of your roof and condition of your current roof deck. It is best to call a roofing professional for an estimate to better understand what a repair or new roof cost will be for your particular situation.
No, if they are in good working condition you don’t have to replace them. However, if you don’t have gutters or if they need to be replaced, the best time to do it is immediately after your roof replacement.
We only offer products that typically last 30 years or more, however, the lifespan of the roof will vary based on how well the roof is maintained and the amount of direct sunlight it gets.
We recommend that you park your cars in the street to protect them from falling debris. You may also want to move patio or deck furniture.
GUTTERS Q&A
The purpose of gutters is to collect and redirect water away from your home’s foundation. Gutters systems protect a dwellings foundation, protect your homes siding/trim, protect furniture, protect your landscaping, avoid erosion and more.
The cost of new gutters will depend on the size of your home and how many linear of feet of gutters are needed. To get a better idea of price, it is best to call a professional for a free estimate.
Gutters’ lifespan will vary significantly depending on how well they are maintained. When gutters become bent or begin rusting it is time to get them inspected for potential replacement.
It is best to clean your gutters at least twice per year: once in the spring and once in the fall. Check with your Cavalry Roofing rep to see if gutter guards would be a good fit for your home.
SIDING Q&A
It is recommended that homeowners trim any overgrown landscaping and parking your car in the street to provide space for the installers to work.
In general vinyl siding will last for around 30 years depending on how well you maintain it.
Vinyl siding is extremely low maintenance but does require occasional power washing. Additionally, gutters are also helpful in prolonging the lifespan of your siding as it redirects water away from your homes siding.
Some signs that indicate you need to replace your siding include separation of seams, swelling, warped appearance, interior moisture and more. If you notice any one or more of these items, please contact your local siding professional.
